Character: Allison Argent
Series/Canon: Teen Wolf
From When? Season 3, Episode 23, just before she gets stabbed by the Oni.

History: here.

Personality:

In a world of supernatural things, Allison's one of the few "normal" ones. Out of all her friends, one might even consider her the happiest. Despite everything that is going on her life, she is able to focus and find something good to concentrate on. She's reliable like that. She doesn't let all of the bad things weigh her down until it starts piling up to crazy levels. Though in reality, crazy's probably an understatement. Finding out that your family hunts supernatural creatures, then finding out that your then boyfriend is one of said creatures, and all the things happening in town aren't fully explainable by normal means. Through all of this, Allison focuses and pushes through, determined to get things done. There's always something to look forward to. This also plays well with her curiosity. She's constantly trying to understand situations and pick up on little things that make her question what people are telling her.

She was brought into the family "business" only recently, and she's taken to it very well. In the Argent family, their sons are trained to be soldiers, their daughters to be leaders. She's a born leader, taking hold of any situation that comes before her. She's cool in the face of pressure, collected in the moment. Even when she needs to be detached and unemotional, she can pull through. She was torn for so long between her family and her love, at battle with herself and them, both of which she wanted to be a part of. She was constantly walking a thin line between the two and tried to find some sort of balance.

She's known to have a big heart to those closest to her. She tries to give someone a chance, tries to be forgiving when people blow her off or keep her out of the loop on things. But she's quick to forgive and give a second chance. But despite that big heart, she has serious trust issues. It's the reason she breaks up with Scott, even if she does love him so fiercely. The trust that she's had with the people closest to her has been broken too many times that she doesn't want that to happen with Scott anymore. Despite the fact that those who ahve lied to her were acting in her beat interests, she doesn't want to keep secrets anymore. This leads her to being so much more guarded than she used to be, and she doesn't trust as easily anymore. She doesn't want to be in the dark.

She knows, however, despite how much she tries to hide it, she does have a darker side, and it comes out when she hunts. With the right push by her grandfather after a very vulnerable time, Allison became cold and calculating, an efficient planner. She became that leader that her aunt and mother were, determined to get things done and not let anything stop her. But despite that manipulation her grandfather had instilled in her, she couldn't become that killer her family wanted to be. Her father had instilled a moral code in her, and she couldn't break it. However, after spending some time away from everything - a summer in France away from it all will really calm your nerves after all - she's come to terms with herself. She knows that she's far from that innocent girl who walked into Beacon Hills High School what seems like forever ago, but she's now more battle scarred, if you will. She knows that she has that darkness in her, but she balances it out with the compassion she still has within her.

The one thing that Allison struggles with the most is her strength. More specifically, feeling weak and powerless. Allison feels that being a plain old human girl isn't enough. She needs something more to make herself feel strong and safe. After being cornered in the school with her friends, Allison tells her aunt that she never wants to feel that weak and powerless again. She wanted to feel like she could protect herself, like she wasn't just some pathetic little girl who needed Scott - or anyone else - to save her. She starts training with her aunt and picks up archery again. She's got incredible aim and she tests this newly found strength in numerous different ways, but it still doesn't feel like enough. She's still human in a world filled with werewolves and if that bow is taken away from her, Allison's left screaming for help. She knows some self-defense and has some skills from six years of gymnastics, but there's always that underlying fear of not being strong enough to save her own skin. It's something that motivates her constantly. It's also not just about being the strongest, it's about being smarter than everyone else, staying one step further than everyone else. Learning how to think on her feet and be faster than them and using their strengths and weaknesses against each other and coming out before everyone else.

Why do you think your character would work in this setting? Considering she's literally about to die before Eli speaks to her, she'd most likely accept his offer. She's lost a lot of people in her life, especially family and friends, to warrant a new start. It would be hard for her to leave her friends, but she's confident that they can handle whatever is thrown at them back home.

What will your character do for work? The most obvious answer for this is a Hunter. She has a variety of skills, her most prominent one being her exceptional skills in archery. Or she could just be a student.

Items on your character at canon point: A quiver with arrows [several arrows having silver arrowheads on them], compound bow, and several throwing daggers, as well as the clothes on her back.

Abilities, Strengths and Weaknesses:

First and foremost, Allison is completely human. She has all normal human strengths and weaknesses. She will bleed if cut, and she will die if the wound is bad enough. She doesn't possess any supernatural abilities. She does possess the following skills:

-Archery: Allison has trained for years on the bow and arrow. She is very accomplished.

-Gymnastics: Something that started at childhood and that she continued for as long as she could. This made her very agile and flexible.

-Leadership: "Our sons are trained to be soldiers, our daughters to be leaders." She's got excellent tactics, and is a born leader. She's smart, and she thinks very well on her feet. She's a natural motivator.

-Training: In a family of Hunters, one must know how to fight. Her family spared no expense. She has capable hand to hand combat skills, and knows several ways to incapacitate and kill people.

Prose Log Sample:

Breathe, she told herself.

In went a deep draw of air, then out it went.

There had to be a logical explanation to all of this. Even an illogical explanation would work at this point. It would give her something to work on even if it was ridiculous. There just had to be an explanation on how she was here instead of Beacon Hills.

Nothing came to mind.

A wave of panic swept over her for a second before she squashed it. No. She couldn't panic, couldn't let anyone see that she didn't have any ideas. She was an Argent. What was all of that training for then? Nothing, if she didn't settle down and take another deep breath and think. Eyes closed, then opened. Pinching herself hadn't worked. This was real, whether she liked it or not.

First, she had to come up with a plan. Survey her surroundings. Find her friends, if they were here. Then get out. Simple.

Find her weapons. Any weapon. Anything she can use to her advantage.

She didn't like the feel of this place. Too abandoned, too dark. Like a horror movie waiting to happen. Like fighting off supernatural creatures wasn't a horror movie waiting to happen, Allison. Welcome to your life.

Beach behind her, town ahead of her. She debated a moment if she just wanted to stay on the beach, to just close her eyes and sit down on the sand and just wait for someone to find her instead of the other way around. Have a moment where she's not the one diving head first into things. Where she's not what her parents made her into.

One foot in front of the other, and within moments she's off the beach and onto the boardwalk. Normal was always behind her.
